Mission and Purpose
The broad purposes of an advisory committee are to 1) help the College document the need for a program that is preparing students for specific careers, and 2) ensure that the program has both adequate resources and a well-designed curriculum to provide students with the skills, knowledge, abilities, and behaviors necessary to successfully prepare to join the community of teachers in Central Texas. The advisory committee is one of the principal means of ensuring meaningful stakeholder participation in updates and revisions of our Associate of Arts in Teaching program.
