June Minutes were approved

We will soon convert all student Google Apps accounts per Google\'s instructions. Once converted, these accounts will start working more like a full Google Account. For instance, students will be able to book appointments on their instructors\' calendars. This will happen sometime during the week of August 8. We will soon turn on the auto email archiving (Postini). All email sent or received from and/or to austincc.edu email accounts will be archived for 5 years. This is not a service to retrieve deleted mail or accounts. The archiving will be used to adhere to ACC records retention policies and to respond to open records requests.

Susan demonstrated the work they have done to create online orientations. ACC 101; ACC102\' (for Financial Aid students) and ACC 103 for Distance Learning studnets. They are working on others for OSD students, early college start students, etc. These will be directed to various student populations.

We quickly discussed a draft of admin rule and guidelines for The use of College Information Systems. Theresa shared the Google docs with committee members and asked for feedback. They will begin making their way through shared governance this fall.

Theresa discussed a new tool called Cloudlock that will help administer the ACC Faculty and Staff Google apps. Susie Thomason stated that Faculty are asking for more dynamic websites. Google sites and using Google Forms may work. WAC Meeting time has been changed from 1:30 to 1:00 to prevent overlapping Administrative Meetings.
