Discussion: Committee reviewed meeting minutes from September 11, 2020. Decisions/Actions: Emily Olson motioned to approve minutes, second by Desiree Leistiko. Committee approved.

Discussion: The committee shared ideas on how they have done outreach in their areas and how students have responded. Student Life office has seen that outreach on social media such as Instagram stories has been very successful. Many offices have noticed that students are fatigued and engagement has gone down. There has been a big overlap in whether something is conduct or compliance. It was suggested that Patty communicate with Casey about what kind of outreach they can do to teach students the difference between conduct and compliance. Desiree stated that SRR can contact their Adjunct communications representative, Ping Chu, for faculty communication assistance. Decisions/Actions: Patty Zuniga to contact SA Communications office to get the SRR video shared on social medias. Patty will also contact Casey regarding the conduct and compliance outreach. The committee suggested adding SRR information to Blackboard, MyACC app, and orientations if possible.

Discussion: Patty provided student complaints numbers for the past/current semesters. • Spring semester for Student Affairs = 11 • Summer semester for Student Affairs = 12 • Fall semester for Student Affairs (as 11/13/20) = 1 • Spring semester for all Instruction = 102 • Summer semester for all Instruction= 34 • Fall semester for all Instruction = 51 Decisions/Actions: Committee was to receive the student complaints numbers in the meeting minutes.

Discussion: The committee was provided with PDF versions of the AR’s that were discussed at the meeting. SRR committee to start reviewing and making suggestions to changes if needed. Dr. Kinney mentioned that many of these AR’s have not been updated in many years. The Academic Integrity policy is not owned by us but we are able to make edit suggestions. Dr. Kinney would like for the committee to focus on making edit suggestions to the Student Standards of Conduct and Disciplinary Process. Decisions/Actions: Jocelyne Arizpe will convert the PDF document into google docs and share with the committee with the capability to add comments. Dr. Kinney will check in on this item in a month. The committee will discuss this item at the next SRR meeting.
