IT Applications Development: IT Project Request Process
& Wait List

No report, however, Theresa reported that IT is working on the X Processes as we convert to web 4.2 and checking which queries need revisions. Colon prompt users should be testing and letting IT know if any of their processes are not working. Informer Process will be replacing colon prompt. Andrew is meeting with HR once a week to discuss training and transition to 4.2. Emily and Rene in IT are doing the training. Course wait lists for the summer will go into effect on April 16 for Math 1315, Math 1351, and Biology 2420. In the fall, these three courses plus, all developmental math and Biology 2404 will be available on the wait list.
Department chairs will be informed so they can decide if they want to include additional courses.

The committee discussed the email process and that individual departments do not know how to send out emails or who should be sending. Departments do not know the technical process. Theresa will follow up with trying to automate or on how departments may be assisted.
It was also recommended that IT change the process for students to get email assigned to when they become a student. Theresa will take recommendation and make the change immediately.
Theresa will be sending an email to all on the list serve on how to use Google groups. Google groups should be easier to maintain and manage. There are no procedures for naming conventions, so Theresa suggested that we should preface with department name to easily determine which group owns the email.

OIEA : SACS Visit update & Gainful Employment Regulations

OIEA is looking at purchasing Curricu Net to assist with student learning outcomes and assessments. OIEA is currently using the ULead system and this will not meet SACS standards. Curricu Net software is a course management system to identify student learning outcomes. The software package includes help to convert the data, an adhoc query tool, document management module, three days of onsite training and 20% discount if ACC purchases additional modules within the next 1 ½ years.
