The Real Estate & Finance Advisory Committee meeting commenced with the approval of previous minutes and a presentation on college-wide updates, highlighting a 13-year enrollment high driven by the Free Tuition Pilot and the new Austin Infrastructure Academy partnership. The agenda covered legislative impacts, specifically HB-8 performance funding which ties state allocations to student outcomes, alongside Departmental data showing significant enrollment growth projected for Spring 2026 and a recovering licensure exam pass rate of 73.68% for 2025. The session concluded with a review of operational improvements, such as standardized course templates followed by a strategic discussion on the "Student Lifecycle Roadmap," articulation agreements, and the need for external funding and mentorship pipelines to support graduates entering the industry.

Minutes
  1. The committee wanted for staff to investigate and bring back curriculum change suggestions so that students can both earn additional TREC SAE hours towards their renewal and bring them closer to the educational hour requirements for a Texas Broker license.
  2. The committee is suggesting that The Student Lifecycle Roadmap be supported in that staff  connect with brokerages and foundations to help pay for student tuition, exam fees, MLS fees, and support industry internships. This would help ACC achieve the goal of a family sustaining employment income.
  3. The committee would like for staff to look into opportunities for articulation agreements with Texas Universities that offer a BAAS program with flexible transfer of RELE prefix courses.
