The draft AR/GP went to both the Faculty Senate and the Adjunct Faculty Association.  Suggestions and clarifications were discussed in regards to the value statements. A vote was called to decide whether to remove the value statement or keep it with revisions. Results of this vote are 14 in favor of revising, redesigning and deliberating the value statements. Training requirement policies will not be changed in the GP, they are being clarified within the document. Discussions over QM approved courses and QM Rubric applications were discussed at length. A workgroup will meet to finish working on the draft AR/GP.

DE Proctoring Test Monitoring
Presenter
Zuleyka Izquierdo
Minutes

Artificial Intelligence usage during exams is being investigated. Proctors are able to see the student as well as monitor their screens in real time. Lockdown browser is useful for blocking out all programs, but this also locks out the proctors. Alternative programs are being looked into. Proctors are not able to remote access student’s systems to manually close down programs that could be used for cheating. Proctors verify that only the three necessary tabs are enabled, and they monitor the student’s screens and body language for signs of cheating.

5)
Description
Suspected Cheating in DE Proctoring Processes/Preventing Perceived Cheating
Presenter
Jack O’Grady
Minutes

Within the Biology department, there are patterns  seen in online courses that are not seen in F2F counterparts. This includes higher than usual exam scores, incredibly fast testing times, and very little digital footprint within the online courses materials. The department has started calling in students for oral exams, and the students are not able to replicate their performance from the online exam. The department suspects there is an undetectable AI overlay at play, but have no concrete evidence to back this up.
