- The administrative rule must contain a clear definition of Sexual Harassment in order to be compliant with Title IX requirements.
- The administrative rule must contain the name of the appointed Title IX Coordinator, so that students can be notified of whom that is.
o ACC’s Title IX Coordinator is Dr. Louella Tate
- We must revise our guidelines/procedures to be effective and compliant with Title IX.
- ACC must take immediate and effective corrective action to end harassment, prevent recurrence, and remedy effects.
- We must make sure the policy is publicized and students know where to find it in its entirety.

Institutional Policy Research on Sexual Harassment/Sexual Violence Discussion

a. The University of Texas at Austin
i. Title IX Coordinator = Assistant Dean for Student Emergency Services is designated to school safety.
1. Clarify what a “Title IX Coordinator” is, so that students know what the person is designated to do.
ii. Don’t like the time frame of 90 days to report an incident because some students won’t want to talk up in that amount of time. Could be perceived as insensitive.
b. Collins Community College
i. All members targeted specifically.
c. Tarrant County Community College
i. Includes bullying in their policy.
1. Should we include cyber sexual harassment in examples of sexual harassment?
ii. Should we include a statement about consensual relationships being an aspect?
1. Maybe we should include statement about false allegations.
d. In order to spread awareness, including workshops/programs in orientation and throughout the year would reach a wider audience.
e. It is suggested that we expand on what has already be written regarding sexual harassment.
i. We should reference was has already been written
f. Will this policy include third party offenders?
g. We conclude that creating the administrative rule that is compliant with Title IX and then building/revising the existing guidelines would be the best way to work on this task.

a. Utilizing the Administrative Rule Example, the individual committee groups will format a version of the Administrative Rule based on the Title IX must haves and the institutional policy research that has been done.
i. Submitting 1 collaborative “Administrative Rule” electronically to Candice Brown or Cheryl Richard by November 7th.
1. Candice, Cheryl, and Jorge will then work together to collaborate all the administrative rules submitted so that the committee can meet on the 17th of November and revise as necessary.
