Add more to curriculum about regulatory and reimbursement issues. It was determined that Jana would invite guest lectures from teh clinincal community to talk about CPT codes. When in the clinics, students or PTAs may not be able to choose codes that stay within POC.

Recommendation 1: Fredricksburg may have 4 private practices for clinicals. Cedar Park Regional is open now and Jana will follow up with them. Inquire about Texas State having a PTA student. Cherie will give Jana Sarah Carr\'s contact info: LTC in Lockhart and Luling. Recommendation 2: More members in APTA. How? PTA SIG: APTA video \''Join\''; incentive drawing to join APTA? Recommendation 3: complete Recommendation 4: How can we market the PTA program: Flyers, tables, etc at the other ACC campuses. High school outreach at Lockhart? Putting out flyers at CNA prgoram, might get people interested in furthering their career. Inquire as to how and where they are trained at LTC facilities.

1. Bridget and her efforts to send 1st years to student conclave. 2. There are .2 CEUs available thorugh June for Jana\'s clin ed course. The APTA CI credentialing course with Dr. Melzner is May 3 and 4. mark Pape requested this information sent to him as did Carol Jones. There will be an OTA/PTA late June CI appreciation event with a course in Medicare funding. 3. Survey for PTA MAC users. Trying to get more efficient. THere will be minor changes in about a year. The logs are the biggest change. The biggest dissatisfaction reported was on the inefficiency of use. 4. Jose talked about being awarded 8 ipods to video tape all goni and MMT skills for the upcoming fall to standardize the teaching of them.

Barbarba Finch requested to resign her position as a Board member. Volunteers from the Board were asked to take on the chair role. Carol Jones volunteered to be the new chair.

The group discussed what types of practice was not represented in the advisory board. It was determined that a private practice therapist would be a good addition. Jana Israel will contact those recommended.

Graduation status posted on webpage. State passing average for the licensure exam is 72% for first time takers. We exceeded our goa of 80%. Applicant pool is currently at 25-28 applicants. Our goal is 30 QUALIFIED applicants.

The program acquired the following new equipment throught he budget process this year: new traction table, Empi e-stim machine, replaced a hi-lo talbe and we were approved for a new tilt table and e-stim unit. We also have $9000 to spend on a replacement for the universal gym.

Update: we have not received any feedback from CAPTE from the 2007 AAR. The 5 semester plan has been approved by the Curriculum Committee and will be the new college catalog for the upcoming fall. No date for site visit yet.

new content guide for exam. On a side note, Angelo State is doing a study on the minmal skill set for PTAs. Will be sending out surveys to PTAs, partially funded by TAPTAE.

A task meeting was held to look at and update the 2005 SWOT Patient survey: good response from patients Faculty Adequacy of Resources: recommendations noted for lab assistant and will be added to new money requests in the budget process this spring ACCE: about 50% return rate with positive results Graduate/Emloyer Survey Comp: we want to be above adequately prepared. In the few areas that we fall just below a 3, the frequency of use is very low. We have instituted the following minor changes and will monitor the \'07 surveys for any postiive changes. Jose did the biofeedback section with more practice on EMG machine. Jana had Dianne Merwarth and Karen Gibbs come and do a seminar in the Current Concepts class on compression therapies and dressing choices for wounds. Jose and Karen implemented the PICO project to address reading and understanding literature and Jana invited Aaron Foreman to host a lecture and lab on orthotics during the rehab class. Exit questionnaire: OIE helped us move from narrative responses to 1-5 scale with comments box which seemed to work well. Graduate survey 2006: work to get accurate emails or have survey online. May get 3rd party to do survey.

The IPR is now aligned with the self study for programs with external accrediting sources. The PTA task force and Ellen Wuertz used the 2005 SWOT, ULEAD outcomes, FSBPT reports and outcome surveys to answer the questions and write the QIP.
