Ina requested approval to add two additional courses to the Real Estate inventory. Beginning September 1, 2012 courses will be required by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC). In order to be in compliance all Real Estate students must take these courses in order to obtain their Sales License.

Robert Bermea moved approval of the Social Media Communication Specialization AAS and Certficate; second by James Friedrichsen. The certificate was modified to remove the \'OR BMGT 1327 Priniciples of Management\' course. Approved. OIEA will submit awards to SACS in September 2012, with implementation planned for Fall 2013 pending SACS approval.

TJ presented two course additions to replace ABDR 2257 and ABDR 2480 which are being expired. Further, ABDR 1301 and ABDR 1315 were presented for modifications to hour distributions.

ABDR 2357 Collision Repair Shop Management (3-3-0) - Needed to change contact hours to reflect the actual lecture hours. This required the change to ABDR 2357 (3-3-0) from ABDR 2257 (2-1-2). TSI skills changed from R (Reading only) to G (Reading, Writing, and Math) to better improve course outcome.
ABDR 2489 Internship-Autobody/Collision Repair Technology/ Technician (4-0-20) - Changing from Co-op (ADBR 2480) to Internship (ABDR 2489) as requested by advisory committee.
Modify
ABDR 1301 Auto Body Repair and Repainting (3-3-1) - Curriculum does not allow for the amount of lab hours as was required changed contact hours from (3-2-2) to (3-3-1.)
ABDR 1315 Vehicle Trim and Hardware (3-2-4) - Changed contact hours to reflect actual time needed in lab, from (3-2-2) to (3-2-4).
