A motion to accept the meeting minutes of February 11, 2012 was made by Patty Salazar with a second by Cathy Angell. The motion was passed.

ACC\'s Youth Programs has been operating for 18 years. Through this program ACC has been able to reach hundreds of youth to influence them in becoming a college-going community. This year we have served nearly 300 students in grades four through twelve. Youth Programs partnerships include the following companies which have donated thousands of dollars toward our effort and organizations who donated time and instructors to accomplish our programs. Housing Authority of the City of Austin $10,000 Texas Workforce Commission 7,000 AMD 4,000 Partnership for CSI Camp w/Travis County Sheriff Office Capital Area Food Bank provided lunch for students Elementary Summer Camps provided workshops in Art, PE, CSI, Music, Solar Car Project, Website Design and Photography. Middle School Summer Camps provided workshops in Art, PE, CSI, Music, Solar Car Project, Website Design and Game Development. The one week CSI Camp for grades 9 - 11 provided Fingerprinting DNA Profiling Crime Scene Management Introduction to Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Girls Leadership Institute for grades 6 through 12 presented workshops on Healthy Relationships and Image Career Exploration Personal Leadership College Preview Girls Start and Girls, Inc Women’s Conference Renewable Energy for grades 9 through 11 in these topics: Energy Overview Solar Photovoltaic’s Wind Power Hydro Plant Solar Cars Field Trip to UT Powerplant Science Saturday Workshops Workshops focus on STEM curriculum. Students engage in applied science projects. learn how to work in teams and develop critical thinking skills October 27th December 8th February 16th April 6th

Accuplacer to be used by ACC. Handouts of Bridge Schedule. Some to be sent to Learning Labs. Short term: 2 - 4 - 6 weeks to prepare for Compass and class 10/20/12 plus free Compass test. Take the Quick Start before Compass if 2 or 3 areas are on the cusp. Registration will be in fall with one day test and one day advising.
