Description
Video and its impact on our future
Presenter
Bill Woodhull
Minutes
We talked a lot about the influence of video. The portrait and wedding photographers see it changing the way they do business in the coming future. Kirk suggested that video has a lower profit margin than still photography right now.
We decided to look into adding LED lighting to help still photographers learn to deal with the lighting used in moving pictures.
We believe/hope that the manual skill set will still drive some of the market.
The need for still photographers to learn about \'\'the narative\'\'.

Description
Viability of selling prints
Presenter
Bill Woodhull
Minutes
Our portrait ladies are seeing the end of prints and the requirement to sell
their files, at least big enough to print 8x10\'s. Kirk added that “I haven\'t sold a print in five years. Maybe longer. Corporations don\'t want them. Individuals don\'t want them. Affluent families want beautiful files for their 70 inch TVs and their digital frames. If they want prints they want them in modern books”.
