Accounting Instructional Curriculum Program Assistance (AICPA)

Minutes
Many of our adjuncts still need assistance n improving their instructional capabilities. Reed mentioned that very few of the full-time faculty teams have visited classes. Special recognition was given to Kimberly Perkins for visiting and reporting on several adjunct faculty members. Jay mentioned that he was helped by team teaching with a full-time faculty member and by visint classes to observe. Action taken: Develop videos to be reviewed by faculty for teaching techniques. Invite adjuncts to your classroom. Action Assigned to: Sheila Ammons and various other faculty members.

The Taskforce should meet each month. Action taken: Meeting dates were agreed to as follows: November 18, 2011; January 27, 2012; February 24, 2012; March 23, 2012; April 27, 2012. No meeing in October and December 2011 and May 2012. Dates are flexible and jubject to change. Action Assigned to: Reed Peoples and Katy Gott.

ACCT 2301/ACCT 2302 Cengage Homework setup

Several faculty members want the ability to change the homework, alter dates, and eliminate the pretest. The major concern expressed by Tracie Nobles is that there should be a minimum amount of homework that will accomplished the learning objectives approved by the Taskforce. Action Taken: The Taskforce agreed that faculty shall maintain the minimum homework established by the taskforce but will have the ability to add additional homework and change the assigned grading to each problem. Tracie should set up a master course to be copied. It was also agreed upon that LaTasha Roberts will be assigned to each adjunct faculty blackboard to assist and monitor the establishment of the minimum homework assignments. Cengage Klooster & Allen General Ledger

Minutes
The Klooster and Allen General Ledger on Cengage created problems in the setting up procedures. Problems exist in the accuracy in the assignments. Cengage sent disk in order for us to return to the stand alone ledger system that did not have the problems. Action Taken: The stand alone general ledger will be loaded on each lab on the various campuses. Action Assigned To: Reed Peoples and LaTasha Roberts
