Data and Accountability
Recommendation Using Noel-Levitz Instrument
A question was asked about changing some of the wording on the survey to more accurately reflect the staff positions such as counselors/advisors. Ask Soon to check and see if it that be changed on the survey.
Mariano commented that some do surveys but what is done with data?
Richard Armenta answered. SACS and legislature are continuing to press for data to see how students are doing. So data must be reported along with what measures for improvement are being implemented. Stacey Stover and K.Leigh Hamm Forell both want more information.
Richard proposed that a motion be made to recommend the Noel-Levitz Instrument with the understanding that Soon Merz will get back to the committee with the answers and more information about the survey.
Motion to use Noel-Levitz student satisfaction inventory to measure student satisfaction was made by Mike Reid with a second by Tobin Quereau. The motion approved.
CCSSSE – Tobin Q – The CCSSSE data does compare us to similar institutions. The CCSSSE Subcommittee will meet and there is data that the subcommittee will identify and address for the institution and come up with responses to data. Tobin will send note to committee about the next subcommittee meeting.
