Description
Review Core Course courses, Math dept recommended list and Read/Writing recommended list to determine what can be used to meet TSI skills prerequisites

Discussion: Committee reviewed and discussed the consolidated list that was provided. Discussion on whether the core course list that is currently used should stay in place. Discussion on whether the courses that were not selected to meet R/W skills requirements should be removed. Discussion on whether the courses selected by Math department should be used and how these should be added to core list. Discussion on feedback requested from Academic Deans on what courses to use. Discussion on how to finalize AR 4.04.004 which is pending approval with a suggested course list. Decision: Consolidated list to be sent to taskforces for review and feedback. Consolidated list to be sent Mike Midgley and department deans to review and input on what courses to use to meet skills prerequisites. Follow-Up: Patty will provide correct 2014-2015 core curriculum

Update on 4.04.006 and 4.04.005

Discussions: ARs were presented at Student Services Council meeting for first reading. SSC sent out for feedback to return to SSC July 17th for second reading and/ or approval. Changes approved by AAC to AR 4.04.005 and forwarded were not on most current rule. Most current rule with AAC changes were discussed and reviewed for additional comment/suggested revisions. Decision: Committee approved a revision to 4.04.005 section on Math delays. Delays: Students who need only Developmental Mathematics may postpone taking mathematics on an exception basis approved by the Department Chair, Instructional Dean or Student Services Dean. Until their third semester at ACC unless their chosen major leads to AS/BS degree, or an AAS degree or certificate with significant math skill requirements.
