Many out of area students want the training but cannot drive all the way to ACC for two to four days a week. Distance learning offers a way to help them take the required sequence courses. GW is seeking approval from the board to approach TCOLE with a proposal to create hybrid versions, similar to what is being used in CJLE 2424 Texas Peace Officer Capstone.
There was further discussion about having enough students at any one given time to justify additional sections and weekend classes
Tiffany Curnutt made motion approach TCOLE regarding a hybrid version of sequence courses.
