Replaced SPCH 1315 with SPCH 1321, replaced Math or Physical Science with MATH 1332, replaced ENGL 1301 with ENGL 2311, replaced Social and Behavioral Science with PHIL 1301, replaced Language, Philosophy, and Culture/Creative Arts with HIST 1301. Footnotes were revised. Footnote 3 was amended to state ""Students with OSHA 30-hour construction card select from Restricted Electives in lieu of OSHT 1305."" Approved. Christian will provided corrected plans and create a CMS course modification for COMM 2339 to be presented at the June 17, 2016 meeting. Christian discussed changes to the two certificates including the addition of the introductory statements, course replacements, and corrections to course numbers. Troy requested approval to add a special approved requirement to WLDG 2179. Welder Qualification will be offered as a hybrid course. Reed stated award revisions to Accounting Technician AAS and Accounting Clerk Certificate bring the plans into compliance with the Guided Pathways initiative. MATH 1342 was replaced by MATH 1324, BUSG 2317 replaced by BCIS 1305. Changes enable students to move between program tracks more readily. Bill presented awards for the new Logistics and Supply Chain Management department. The program will be offered by the credit department and by Continuing Education. Committee recommended certificate adjustment to enable the certificate to completely align with the proposed AAS. In AAS semester IV, PHIL 2306 replaced Language, Philosophy and Culture/Fine Arts elective. New course applications proposed for the LSCM awards were presented.
