Gaye Lynn welcomed new members and briefly reviewed committee functions.
Matthew reported the ad hoc subcommittee would discuss functions including the scope and what decisions and processes which should be the focus of the Curriculum and Programs Committee. Ron Johns, Reed Peoples, Gina Swearingen, and Joann Kroll will work with Matthew to make recommendations to the full committee.
Clark and Michelle will contribute revisions to the Curriculum and Programs Committee manual.

Additionally, Ina provided modification to the Marketing electives in the Marketing AAS.

Mike returned the former Medical Devices application (approved 2/19/16) to the committee with resolution of issues raised by the ACC Board. The program will be presented to the ACC BOT under new department Manufacturing Technology. The proposed plan identified courses in three groups: Core, general education, and technical specialization courses. The proposed plan is designed to be offered in the future with various technical specializations. The original Medical Devices Level 1 and Level 2 certificates flow directly into the AAS; the ATC offers students with related work experience an opportunity to focus on new skills. Implementation is planned for fall 2017.
