Tomi explained how mid-year changes create challenges for students, challenges in Ellucian PROG, and degree audit. Ron Johns moved that a new rule be incorporated into the Curriculum and Programs Committee Manual stating all approved program changes will become effective in the next catalog year barring accreditation issues, administrative rules, legislative changes, and explicit exemptions. Courses may begin mid-year. Second by Patsy Collier. Approved.

Nancy proposed one new CE award and revisions to three others. Committee discussed implementation dates and effect on other college areas. Nancy and committee agreed to implementation spring 2017. New Program CE Medical Office Support Occupational Skills Award (188 contact hours) James Friedrichsen moved to approved CE Medical Office Support OSA; second by Clark Peterson. Approved. Revised Programs CE Pre Apprentice Electrician Occupational Skills Award – Award name change from Electrical to Pre Apprentice Electrician; 230 contact hours to 278 contact hours James Friedrichsen moved to approve revised Pre Apprentice Electrician OSA with title change and increased hours; second by Gina Swearingen.
