Federal guidelines require the college to continue sending hard copies of the W-2 unless the employee chooses the option to print online. • No enhancements to the PA system have been done. HR is waiting for the current system to be “live” for three to six months before initiating any new changes.

Gmail accounts have been difficult for AE students. There appears to be a problem with Google that causes the student to have issues when trying to sign in.

Payment Plans have increased to approximately 10,000 students for the Spring 2010 semester. IT is working on a solution to track bus passes usage and green car stickers.

CE is requesting assistance from IT for problems with the online current student status screen. CE would like to remove the terms and use another table. This process will also help with integrated classes.

Coordinating Board has created a new report that will require schools to report everything about a student’s schedule such as grades, grade points, hours earned and faculty load. The first report is due Summer 2011. Datatel will be giving Texas schools an estimated cost to create the programming. Texas schools will bear the programming costs for this new report as part of the State Reporting module. This new report will change and/or eliminate some of the current CB reports.

The Datatel Patches list was distributed. • IT has 45 formal projects to work on this year. - 4 completed - 2 in test - 7 in progress or development - 13 are in systems analysis - 19 in pending • The IT FY-2010 Project List for IT Applications Development can be found on this site. IT will try to update it every Friday. http://www.austincc.edu/appdev/ProjectsFY10.pdf Eventually there will be a more dynamic webpage featuring all IT projects. • Detention Alert is a product offered by Datatel, but performing the analysis on whether it would be a desired purchase would only be an academic exercise at this point because the decision was made 2 years ago to purchase Sinclair Community College’s product, now known as RetentionZen/Project ACChieve.

IT is waiting for approval for “last date of attendance “on class rosters. Linda K. and Terry B. will be meeting with adjunct faculty this spring to discuss why this is needed on the class roster and to move this process forward.
