Proposal to add ENGR 1201 as a restricted elective option.

Proposal to add ENGR 1201 as a restricted elective option in footnote which will give students a 2 credit hour restricted elective option if needed to reach 60 credit hours for the Civil CAD AAS degree.

Interdisciplinary CAD AAS Degree
-Proposal to replace Dftg 1402 in the fourth semester with Dftg 1417 in the second semester. Dftg 1417 is a prerequisite for Dftg 2428 which is a third semester course.

Discussion of how Dftg 1402 sees less student demand due to the ability of students to render in other programs (Revit, Inventor, etc.). It was suggested that therefore student be give more options (besides Dftg 1402).

John Glock moved to vote on agenda items. Proposal was seconded by Marcus Kelley. Motion to discuss was presented. There was no discussion.. All of the proposed curriculum changes and revisions were approved unanimously.

Q3. If your organization has hired A&E CAD students (since the last advisory meeting) what is your assessment of the skill levels of these individuals when they were initially hired:
Q4 What CAD Software package(s) does/do your organization and industry use?
Q5 Do you see an emerging area where the A&E CAD department may need to offer an award (certificate or degree) in the future?
Q6 Is there any other information you want to provide that will impact planning of future curriculum for our program?
