Discussion of how Dftg 1402 sees less student demand due to the ability of students to render in other programs (Revit, Inventor, etc.). It was suggested that therefore student be give more options (besides Dftg 1402).

All of the proposed curriculum changes and revisions were approved unanimously. Before departing the meeting, members filled out an online survey (Survey Monkey) that asked the following: Q1. What is the principal focus of your organization or industry? Q2. What trends do you see in your field that the A&E CAD program will/may need to respond to in the foreseeable future? Q3. If your organization has hired A&E CAD students (since the last advisory meeting) what is your assessment of the skill levels of these individuals when they were initially hired: Q4 What CAD Software package(s) does/do your organization and industry use? Q5 Do you see an emerging area where the A&E CAD department may need to offer an award (certificate or degree) in the future? Q6 Is there any other information you want to provide that will impact planning of future curriculum for our program? The results of this survey are available in a pdf that the A&E CAD program has saved in the Advisory Committee Folder 2016-2017 on our server.
