1)
Dual Credit Annual Appointments
Gaye Lynn
Gaye Lynn provided an overview of the Dual Credit Annual Appointment Initiative. Changes have been made to Administrative Rule 4.06.002 to support the development of a Dual Credit Annual Appointments process. Dual Credit Annual Appointments are only used to staff Dual Credit course sections taught at high schools. A document was provided that lists the key element and proposed timelines. The process is retroactive to the start of Fall 2017, but as far as the inclusion of the concept into eStaffing goes, the new functionality to be added will need to be developed gradually. There are some unanswered questions, in terms of details. Hopefully, the sketch of an IT implementation plan will be available for the February 20, 2018 eStaffing Committee meeting. Dual Credit course sections that are to be staffed by Dual Credit Annual Appointments will be staffed after Full-Time Faculty are assigned course sections directly into Colleague. Whether DCAA sections will be entered directly into Colleague, or done in eStaffing via the Reserve function is yet to be determined. One of the first changes that are likely to occur are: (1) Replacing 'ECS Only' Appointments to 'Dual Credit Sections Only' Appointments (to reflect the name change from Early College Start to Dual Credit). (2) The creation of 'Dual Credit Sections' Appointments.

Review of Meeting Minutes for May 1 & Sep 19 meetings

3)
eStaffing & Faculty Enlight timeline
Committee
IT is awaiting official approval, by the Technology Steering Committee, of Faculty Enlight (the Barnes & Noble website) as the sole source of textbook ordering information at ACC. In terms of modifications to the eStaffing application, removing the existing textbook ordering functionality, will be easy to accomplish.
4)
Spring 2018 Compliance Report
Andrew
The Spring 2018 Compliance Report was distributed. The Committee had a chance to review it. The eStaffing Committee Chair has asked committee members to provide any recommendations to the specific discipline/department names that appear in columns A and B, as keeping pace with departmental name changes has been a challenge recently. The plan was that the Spring 2018 Compliance Report will be distributed soon to Deans, Department Chairs, and others within a few days of the November 14 committee meeting. (The Committee Chair will explain during the Feb 20 meeting why report distribution was delayed and will be sent with the Summer 2018 Compliance Report.)
5)
Other Issues
Committee
1) The change in LEH for course sections within a combined course section group has been a major undertaking. Mary has volunteered to work with IT to do further testing of the various modifications that have had to be done. (2) Al provided an update on challenges from the Payroll perspective. (3) The Eligibility Report in eStaffing has been improved to allow for flexible selection categories. (4) Co-Requisite course sections will continue to be a challenge as House Bill 2223 mandates a type of flexibility from which it is difficult to create logical algorithms. Currently, when using the Reserve function in eStaffing for co-requisite course sections, you must reserve each one individually. It is not the case that when you reserve one of the co-requisite sections, that the other co-reqd sections are automatically reserved.
