Expanded Scope and Focus of Curriculum & Programs Report - Gaye Lynn distributed draft proposal of Curriculum and Programs Committee functions. Members asked to review and offer comments in Google doc. Goal is to have first reading at December 2018 ASAC. Recommendation will go to shared governance. Implementation of final recommendations planned for fall 20109. Style Guide Task Force Report - Gretchen reported Style Guide Task Force members are Ron Johns, Jorge Lynch, Matthew Daude and Gretchen Riehl. Jorge will review catalog 2018-19 to draft common language for footnotes in future publications. Task force will review award plan formats and make recommendation on program maps. Supporting documentation including a checklist for proposal preparation, website repository of forms/resources, and sample documents to be compiled. Final recommendations ready for February 2019 Curriculum and Programs agenda. Proposed Master Syllabus Work Task Force - Ron distributed list of Master Syllabus Task Force Members. Jim Christensen moved to accept membership, second by Cathy Angell. Approved. Ina discussed new Fashion Design program being implemented upon request from city of Austin. Program will be offered at HLC and is supported with high tech Gerber Technology equipment. Nina Means will lead the Fashion Incubator at HLC. Some courses will be integrated with Continuing Education. Program is designed to model similar programs at U. Texas, Texas State University and the Austin Independent School District.
