1. Informational Items:
a. Dance program’s Somatic Movement Advanced Technical Certificate approved at the 4/19/19 C&P meeting will be offered as a Continuing Education certificate instead of credit (per Mike Midgley 6/25/19).
b. Exercise Science program was approved by THECB 8/20/19 to change the CIP on its three awards: 1) Exercise Science AAS, 2) Personal Fitness Trainer Level 1 Certificate, and 3) Fitness Specialist Level 1 Certificate: former CIP code: 31.0501 (Health and Physical Education/Fitness, General); updated CIP code: 31.0507 (Physical Fitness Technician).
c. Committee Draft Functions and Responsibilities – updated by Curriculum and Programs Committee 6/21/19; Gaye Lynn Scott will present to Academic and Student Affairs Council (ASAC) at the first fall meeting (10/4/19) and will provide members an update.
2. Review of Courses Last Offered Report – this report identifies last semester (term) in which a course was offered since Fall 2017. Note: as a result of Dean Code reassignments from Transfer and Workforce to Areas of Study, all course records were updated effective 8/28/2017; blank terms in the report may also indicate courses not offered prior to 217F000 term or never offered. Additionally, Workforce courses (VOW or VOC course types) that also have course type HSU (High School Unfunded) indicate that the course is no longer in a reportable award.
Georgia Branch will regenerate updated Courses Last Offered Report to ensure any newly expired courses/newly added courses are not included and will disseminate to Deans for review and discuss with Department Chairs to schedule or expire courses.
3. Master Syllabi Revisions Discussion – Ron Johns
General question: should there be an annual Curriculum and Programs Committee review?
Suggestion: incorporate updates periodically and bring revised document to January and April committee meetings for review.

4. Testing Center Work Group Report – Gaye Lynn Scott/Missy Patterson
Final report on utilizing the testing center has been completed and will be presented to ASAC at October 4th meeting for review. This report has significant changes to the exceptions section; a Testing Center Exceptions Work Group is being developed and needs volunteers from Workforce and Transfer programs and other pertinent areas who can meet approximately once a semester. Send email to Gaye Lynn if interested in serving. Gaye Lynn will send a copy of the report to the Curriculum and Programs Committee members.
