Effective Spring 2013, all fieldwork rotations are Pass/Fail 2011 New ACOTE Standard: At least one fieldwork experience has a focus on psychological and social factors that influence engagement in occupation. It can be in either FW 1 or 2. Feedback from committee members was that they see this already being addressed. The faculty will collaborate with community clinicians to ensure measurement of this goal. Assignments will also be developed to ensure standard is incorporated within at least one FW experience. FWI assessment tools will be examined and revised as indicated to ensure there is objective measure of the standard.

For 2012-2014 93 applications with 83 qualified applicants. We are consistently filling the 20 seats and the number of qualified applicants keeps increasing every year. No changes in admission criteria for this year. Exploring - Health Science Reasoning Test: Critical Thinking and Clinical Reasoning. College wide initiative - Renee Kilbride is our representative.

As of spring 2013, all levels for fieldwork are pass/fail. This will be effective Spring 2013. Spring 2011- FWI- Pediactric rotation: Dell Children\'s Hospital: all students rotated. Schools OP Clinics Fall 2012: Continue to improve 2nd FW 2 Model 4 phases: Focusing on Professional Development Faculty on-site during phase III Debriefing sessions on-site and on campus Discussion boards on blackboard Meeting ACOTE Standards for level one fieldwork Aligning with intervention course work All students experience the same variety of practice settings. Phase I - Community: Wellness Model Phase II - Acute Care (Seton and St. David\'s) Phase III - Inpatient Rehab (Healthsouth, St. David\'s & TNR_ Phase IV- LTC & OP (Windsor Rehab facilities and Senior Solutions) Peds Rotation. All students were able to go to Dell Children’s. Would like to see similar rotations for pediatrics. All students experience a variety of pediatric practice settings (In/Outpatient hospitals, schools, outpatient clinics, hippotherapy, home health.) Pam Martin, COTA with RRISD expressed an interest in exploring this possibility at her setting. Marcia Desy, OTR supported idea of expanding other practice settings for adults, such as home health and assisted living. Discussed the challenges of this type of placement and cost being biggest barrier to student, gas and travel from home to home. Will continue to explore agencies that contract with assisted living facilities where the student could stay in one or at most two facilities. Telerehab approach was utilized as a method of delivering learning objectives for activities course. Virtual remimesence via phone conference. There is opportunity to expand to other facilities.
