• Master Syllabi Task Force Report (Ron Johns) Ron presented three templates of master syllabi: credit, credit off campus, and Continuing Education. A section will be added under Student Right and Responsibilities for student complaints. Carol Hawk moved to send the drafts to Faculty Senate and Adjunct Faculty Association for their input; second by Nancy Stano. Approved. • Courses Scheduled for Deletion at the May 3, 2017 ACGM Advisory Committee Meeting, per Lower-Division Academic Course Guide Manual (ACGM) Spring 2018 Manual, pg. 12 – The following ACC courses are under review and scheduled for deletion. The courses are eligible for state funding until August 31, 2019: ENGL 2342 Forms of Literature I – Core Curriculum course ENGL 2343 Forms of Literature II – Core Curriculum course FREN 1300 Conversational French I • Committee will conduct a conversation Feb. 15 around creating award plans for part time students. Revise Awards Nancy Laudenslager Dental Assistant Program Level 1 Certificate – revising from 351 to 388 contact hours Ophthalmic Assistant EyeCare Program Occupational Skills Award – revising from 368 contact hours Level 1 Certificate to 328 contact hours OSA Nancy and Gloria explained purpose of changes to CE certificates was to increase enrollment. Awards meet certification requirements and prepare students for IJCAHPO COA examination. Motion by James Friedrichsen to accept two certificates; second by Brandon Whatley. Approved.

Revise Awards Music AA – Instrumental/Guitar/Composition Music AA – Vocal Music AA – Keyboard Virginia explained Music AA revisions to meet Field of Study goals. Nancy Stano moved approval of the awards with the addition of footnotes; second by Gina Swearingen. Approved. Add Courses MUSI 1307 Music Literature (3-3-0) – needed for new Field of Study curriculum MUSI 1310 American Music (3-3-0) – to increase the number of Core Credit classes offered by the Music Department Virginia indicated plans to propose addition of the new courses to the Creative Arts Core for 2019-20 catalog.
