Statistics on 2019 applicant pool: TEAS Reading: 93.6-70.2 (top 18) 100-63.8 (Alternates) TEAS English: 95.8-62.5 (top 18) 95.8-62.5 (Alternates) Pre-Req GPA 4.0-3.73 top 18 & alternates were the same GE Bonus Points: 17 of top 18, and all alternates Pt Care Points: 16 of top 18, and 7 of 10 alternates Dental Assisting: 1 of top 18, and zero alternates Reapplication: 1 time - 11 of top 18, and 4 alternates Reapplication: 2nd time or more: 4 of top 18, 1 alternate Ranking score range: 96.71 - 91.38 (top 18) 91.34 - 89.59 (alternates) Summary: It's too early to determine if increasing the weight of the TEAS and lowering the weight of the GPA in the ranking calculation is appropriate for the ranking system. The students with the lowest TEAS in the 2018 entering class are definitely struggling in the program.

Ask the graduates how hard it was to secure a position. 7.Possibly give a gift for responding to the survey to increase the response rate; The amount the Dean said was between $20-$25. 8. Let the students know the importance of giving personal email so that we can email them job notifications that come through the department. 9. Dr. Yu would rather we survey grads and not the DDS as they have hygienists that may have been with them for years. 10. Email addresses would not be forth coming from the dental groups.
