Nancy discussed changing SSMAT course material fees so ACC Inclusive Access-First Day fees could be applied to sections beginning 219S. Modify Courses EDUC 1100 Effective Learning: Strategies for College Success (1-1-0) – removing SSMAT fee $54.45 EDUC 1200 Effective Learning: Strategies for College Success (2-3-0) – removing SSMAT fee $60.65 EDUC 1300 Effective Learning: Strategies for College Success (3-3-0) – removing SSMAT fee $60.65 James Friedrichsen moved to remove SSMAT fees from identified courses; second by Jorge Lynch. Matthew discussed Communication Studies proposed changes to enhance student progressions and assist transfer students. Revise Award Communication Studies AA – reordering courses; adding 4th semester language course to footnote 5 Committee recommended proposal be returned to October 19, 2018 meeting with edits to the proposed program map and with inclusion of Mathematics in semester 1 and Life and Physical Sciences in semesters 2 and 3.

Field of study awards were added to ACC Catalog 2018-19 to be in compliance with THECB requirement for awards to be implemented no later than fall 2018.
