Registration numbers look good for overall enrollment. The headcount is flat as of today. Contact hours are down 3%. Contact hours are how the college is funded by state funds. New to ACC numbers are up 24%. High School direct are up 28% and traditional are up 20%. The retention numbers are down 6.1%.

In order to onboard the new orientation team members, the launch of mandatory orientation has been moved to June 1. A virtual and in-person option is available for <12 hours students to attend and be entry advised to register for courses.

ACC Connect/Access Hub

-ACC Connect is a strategic soft launch of a high school outreach initiative started this spring for 7 opportunity high schools (Elgin, Del Valle, Manor Senior High, Northeast, LBJ, San Marcos, and Connally). These schools are linked to an ACC campus for direct support by campus team members with applications, financial aid, and orientation/registration. Once new staff is onboarded to support these services, the program will be rolled out to all priority 1 schools by fall 2022. -Access Hubs are initiatives for community outreach with community partners. The first outreach plan is with the YMCA. Presence at these community centers will help to increase enrollment in programs/courses at ACC. Outreach opportunities to various age groups from young, to right out of high school, to families/adults. The team will also bring in the military family coordinator to connect families to ACC offerings and benefits. This chancellor priority is headed up by Student Affairs Communications team and Public Affairs team. The enrollment management recruitment team is supporting the efforts and outreach.

1. Adult Ed - Working with recruitment and admissions teams to transfer AE graduates to credit courses. ESL and HSE enrollment is closed for the academic year. College Prep application opens May 9 for people who need free classes to become TSI complete. Classes run 6/6/22-8/10/22. Also, the application for International Trained Professionals and other Career Pathways is also open for classes 5/31-7/21. 2. Enrollment Analytics team is excited about the creation and use of the tandem funnel effect in enrollment outreach and calculating enrollment number goals for the college. The team encourages you to contact them for information and to provide context for the tandem student funnel. 3. Student government has been meeting with the chancellor and cabinet team discussing ideas and plans to help ACC students with affordable housing needs. Suggestions include: providing a survey at admissions so the college can collect housing needs information right away when a student joins ACC, connecting students to community housing resources, providing a housing coordinator for students to utilize, college providing housing assistance, college building affordable housing for students with community partners. 4. Graduation is May 13 at 6pm. Please join the celebration at the HEB Center in Cedar Park.
