Revise Awards Professional Accountant ATC – reducing total SCH to 45 hours (maximum per GIPWE): changing Admission Prerequisites in Program Description and removing Prerequisites Semester by moving Business Elective course option to Admission Prerequisites in description and ETWR 2377 to Semester II; adding footnote 1 to Semester I Business Elective; replacing local need course ACNT 1370 with WECM course ACNT 1335 in Semester IV; replacing local need courses with WECM courses in footnotes 2, 3, 4. Matthew Daude Laurants proposed that Lori Friedman will provide annual data report to October 2020 Curriculum Committee. Report will be used to evaluate CE versus credit participation in Fashion program. Provide data on (1) how many students migrate from CE to credit; (2) identify number of awards granted, number of seats by curse, and by program; (3) by programs semester-by-semester. Gaye Lynn Scott provided a status report on previous 9-20-19 discussion item Committee Functions and Responsibilities – time did not permit this item to be presented to Academic and Student Affairs Council (ASAC) at the October 4, 2019 meeting; has been deferred to the November agenda. Once presented and approved by ASAC, will be too late to go into effect this academic year; therefore updated Curriculum and Programs Committee Functions and Responsibilities will be effective 2020-2021. Discussion Items: a. Advising Footnotes Style Guide Brandon Whatley moved to approve with change to ‘two or more’; motion second by Jim Christianson. Approved. Office of Curriculum Development will apply approved standards to catalog 2020-2021. Gaye Lynn Scott will announce change at October 25, 2019 department chair meeting. b. Curriculum and Programs Checklist (by actions) Discussion postponed to November 2019 agenda. Committee assignment: review October 2019 agenda pages 178-179. c.
