CAC members discuss overall SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable/Attainable, Relevant/Realistic, and Time-Bound) goals of the committee. CAC members will return in February

- Members suggest returning next meeting with more ideas, and focusing immediately on the primary Title II Digital Accessibility Resolution as that is a deadline that is fastly approaching (April 2026)

Draft:
The College Accessibility Committee recommends that ACC create a Digital Access Plan prior to the ADA Title II Ruling deadline of April 24, 2026.
This will ensure that all members of the ACC community have full access to online content and services.
It will also further the goals of the Theory of Change, allowing students with disabilities to start strong, have their basic needs met, and foster a culture of belonging and connection.
The CAC recommends that ACC’s Digital Access Plan include:
- A digital accessibility audit of college-wide systems to identify, prioritize, and address gaps and barriers
- Training for faculty and staff on ADA Title II standards and the rights of students with disabilities
- Updated procurement policies to ensure alignment to Title II requirements
- A clear communication strategy, including:
- Marketing of Title II compliance resources for staff/faculty
- Promotion of students’ rights under the ADA
- Methods for reporting digital access barriers
