Linnea proposed addition of BITC 1471 Undergraduate Research course and revision of awards to include the new course. George proposed changes to the Environmental Studies AS. Revise Environmental Studies AS – Removing EPCT 1205, replacing three hours Unrestricted Elective with four hours Unrestricted Elective, re-numbered footnotes. Environmental Science and Technology AAS – Removing EPCT 1205, adding GEOG 2470; removing EPCT from footnote 4 (Natural Sciences) Motion to accept proposed Environmental Studies AS changes by Jams Friedrichsen; second by Ron Johns. Approved. George Staff will return to October 19, 2012 meeting with further changes to this award. Modify IBUS 1305 Introduction to International Business and Trade (3-3-0) – Changing BUSI 1301 from a Co-requisite to a Prerequisite Revise International Business AAS – Revising footnotes 1, 3 and adding footnote 4. In Semester I, footnote 1 modified to recommend HIST 1302. Semester IV replaced Restricted Elective with PHIL 2306 and revised footnote 3. Semester IV, added footnote 4. Nichole presented new TRVM 2372 course and changes to TRVM 1391 and TRVM 2345. Add NEW TRVM 2372 Sustainable Tourism (3-3-0) – Local Needs. Adding Sustainable Tourism Course in an effort to stay in line with industry trends and needs. Knowledge of eco and sustainable tourism is in high demand both locally and nationally. Modify TRVM 1391 Special Topics in Travel and Tourism (3-3-0) – Removing lab hour and course fee; course does not have a need for a Lab and is sufficient with 3 LEH. TRVM 2345 Advanced Topics in Tourism (3-3-0) – Removing lab hour and course fee; course does not have a need for a Lab and is sufficient with 3 LEH.
