Continuing Business: Auto Body Internship

Agreement made available to all members.
Agreement between the body shops and the college, not the students.
“Capstone Course” every three weeks. Students will transition from one body shop to the next. For the experience. If one student need the course to graduate, the course will be offered.
May not be offered in the Summer.
Co-op Class has 7 students, 4 of the 7 are doing internship at this time.
Body Shop proprietors and college instructors
Internship : refinishing and collision repair
Should be approached as a job and grades should reflect this; being on time, conduct while in the learning environment will be taken into consideration.
Mutual responsibilities This will be the last time that it will be a “co-op”

If the need to impose disciplinary actions, students will be treated as employees. If it is something that would cause an employer to fire an employee, then, the student will dropped from the course and consequently the program.

Shop keep track of when students are there- for insurance purposes. Each shop encouraged to give each student a Handbook so they know what is expected of them. Reagan, Crockett, and Lockhart have program in Auto Body with 12 College credits available.
