Update: ACC should continue to pursue Addictions BHIPS; classes could be taught through Continuing Education at the Highland Business Center wherein employers could send their employees to ACC to train. ACC would need to obtain the software and there is a possibility the class could be attached as a Lab for addiction students. There has been a problem in obtaining the software from the State. Jan will check on it and Interns should be trained in this area, prior to employment. New Interns are currently being trained by Coordinators within their agencies. Motion by Vicki to provide training in BHIPS and other assessment software; seconded by Sandra Eames.

The Board has intentionally inserted one question into the exam registration about where they received their training so that grades and data can be collected as to where students received their training and how ACC students are doing. Previously, minorities have not fared well apparently due to low reading skills and disabilities.
